in2Dredging’s extended abstract, entitled ‘Procurement of Dredging Works’, has been approved for the PIANC APAC 2020 conference. This year the conference will be held in Fremantle, Western Australia.
The PIANC APAC conference was originally scheduled for mid-June. However, due to the health crisis it had to be postponed to 30 November – 4 December 2020. We are looking forward to either an in-person conference or a virtual one.
Our abstract describes the procurement of dredging works in a nutshell. Since this process is often quite difficult, it was an interesting challenge to summarise the main steps in two pages. The result is an extended abstract that provides the basics on procuring dredging works. It also provides some key pointers and useful tools.
Furthermore, the abstract points more knowledgeable readers to principal sources. These sources are like little gems in this specialist field, gathered over decades of working in the dredging industry.
