We are excited to announce that Valerie Biernaux has rejoined in2Dredging (i2D) as Lead Dredging Engineer, further strengthening our growing market presence in Europe. Based in Belgium, Valerie’s return marks a significant milestone for our company as we expand our reach across the region. In addition to our developing presence in Dutch-speaking regions, Valerie’s fluency in French also opens new opportunities for i2D. This is particularly true in France and French-speaking countries, allowing us to broaden our global impact.
Valerie’s Role as Lead Dredging Engineer
As i2D’s Lead Dredging Engineer, Valerie will provide top-tier consultancy services on our projects. However, she will also play a key role in coaching and mentoring our team of dredging engineers. Her passion for dredging consultancy and commitment to developing talent will inspire the next generation of professionals in this field. Valerie’s collaborative approach ensures a seamless integration of technical expertise and innovative thinking. This fosters a dynamic and supportive environment for both clients and colleagues.

Valerie’s Experience
With over 15 years of experience, Valerie’s background is solid. She has held roles at DEME, Golder Associates and Antea Group, where she gained a unique blend of practical, contractor and consultancy experience. In addition, Valerie has international experience as a Marine Consultant. She has worked in marine infrastructure projects across offshore, coastal and estuarine environments. Her marine consultancy expertise encompasses estimating, environmental monitoring and sampling and the delivery of water and sediment quality assessments. She is also experienced in the development of Environmental Management Plans, Environmental impact assessments and providing guidance for environmental approvals.
Valerie’s expertise in dredging engineering, project management and environmental studies provides the perfect foundation for delivering clear and practical advice on dredging projects.
